To Play, 2024
To Play explores St. Andrew's Playground's textures, movements, and histories, weaving together themes of community, time, and play.
This project delves into the overlooked details of a shared public space.
peeling paint, rusted fences, cracked floors, and the ephemeral traces of life left behind, like snacks and stickers.
Through video storytelling, it captures the shifting dynamics of the playground over time, using experimental collages, fluid transitions, and layered audio to evoke a sense of movement and change.
The accompanying book transforms these observations into a tactile archive, combining photography, design, and narrative to immerse the viewer in the playground's layered reality.
To Play reflects on how spaces carry the imprints of those who move through them, inviting audiences to rediscover the beauty and playfulness in the everyday..
